2023 Anna C. Klune Scholarship

2023 Application Deadline: February 2, 2023

The AMA of Connecticut is proud to award this annual scholarship in memory of Anna C. Klune, an entrepreneur, marketer, as well as a member and president-elect of the AMA of Connecticut. The 2023 scholarship is intended for Connecticut residents who are pursuing an MBA at any accredited U.S. business school for marketing or similar majors. Selection is based on students’ academic merit, leadership record, entrepreneurial spirit and financial need.

Selection Criteria
• Connecticut resident, may or may not be studying in Connecticut
• First or second year MBA student at any university
• Career focus in marketing or related major
• Demonstrated leadership record
• Entrepreneurial/innovative spirit

Instructions to access application:

Go to hfpg.org/scholarships
On the home page, select the type of college you will attend
Click on the link to access the Hartford Foundation’s portal
Create a profile and log onto the portal
Complete the eligibility questions for scholarship applications to be uploaded to your dashboard
Click Apply to start an application

Christine Fitzgerald

Immediate Past President

Christine is an accomplished strategic marketer who sets the table for new business teams to close sales in organizations ranging from Fortune 3 to non-profits. She has extensive experience creating B2B and B2C marketing campaigns for health insurance members, employers, brokers and providers that drive revenue. Her specialties include new product introductions, event management and customer experience using metrics to drive decisions.

Christine is a former Director of Marketing with Aetna, a CVS Health Company and Centene, the largest Medicaid insurer in the Country. She and has been a Marketing panelist presenter at The Conference Board in New York City and The Annual Connecticut Regional Marketing Conference - Future Innovations in Marketing.

Christine lives in East Berlin, Connecticut with her daughter Katy who is a Senior in high school and her rescue dog Tux. Her oldest daughter Kelly is a Junior in college.

Fun fact: Early in Christine’s career, she was a Water Safety Instructor who taught lifeguards how to conduct water rescues.
